Red Oaks Season 2 Episode 7 “The Anniversary” :- Watch Red Oaks Season 2 Episode 7 “The Anniversary” on Youtube on Fire, “Body Swap” joins the long tradition of Freaky Friday-style movies that plagued the ’80s and beyond, in which movie studios posited that the only way characters could empathize with each other is to literally walk in the other person’s shoes. There’s no explanation behind the science or mythology of the body swap, and the inciting object could range from a fortune cookie to coins in a fountain to crossing urine streams. What’s ironic about this episode is that it’s directed by Amy Heckerling — she of Fast Times At Ridgemont High, a movie that’s influence is all over Red Oaks — who spent her career making movies that are smarter than the body swap comedy. The episode is a strange detour away from the series that was one a bit of a win streak after “Fourth of July” and “Swingers.” Judy, David, and Sam celebrate Sam’s 56th birthday at a Hibachi joint, where the Asian stereotypes are purposefully outsized, partially to parody how bad cultures that are not of the white variety were portrayed onscreen in 1980s, and partially so they can be contrasted for comedy later. “I can’t tell white people apart,” the annoyed hostess says to Sam and David as they try to find the mysterious humpback whale whiskey — served by the man with the long skinny mustache, whose mere look should make anyone uncomfortable by 2015 standards — that begins their body swap. A couple shots begin their journey: Sam becomes David and David becomes Sam.
